Humana
Challenge
Humana, the global baby food company, aimed to provide their Georgia customers with detailed product information. They wanted to improve customer experience and satisfaction by understanding their changing needs. Humana also wanted to expand their customer base and reach new audiences. To achieve this, they planned to embrace the digital era and use online platforms for online purchases and attracting potential customers.
Solution
Our team took the responsibility to design and develop a visually appealing website and user-friendly mobile app that effectively showcased the wide range of products offered by the company. The website included a dynamic and engaging blog feature, allowing users to stay updated with the latest news and trends in the industry. Additionally, we implemented a loyalty scheme within the app, providing incentives and rewards to loyal customers. The website and app were designed with a seamless user experience in mind, ensuring that users could easily navigate through the various product categories and make informed purchasing decisions. Overall, our goal was to create a comprehensive online platform that not only promoted the company's products but also fostered a sense of community and loyalty among its customer base.
Involvement & Process
We used Java for the development of the Android side and Swift for the iOS for the mobile app. To bolster efficiency, we utilized powerful stacks such as Retrofit for Android, ensuring efficient API communication, and Alamofire for iOS to streamline network requests. Fast prototyping was facilitated by Android Studio's intuitive design tools and Swift's Playground feature. Scalability was addressed with the implementation of clean architecture principles and dependency injection using Dagger for Android and Swift's native dependency management.
For the backend, we employed Java with Spring Boot to create a responsive and scalable server. MongoDB served as our flexible data storage solution, and AWS servers were utilized for hosting. Server-side logic was handled without the use of specific serverless functions. GitHub Actions facilitated CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
Our DevOps approach for the app involves CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, AWS for hosting, and proactive monitoring for performance optimization
Result
The Humana team tracks the actions of individual users using the platform's back-end system and analyzes their preferences. The dashboard calculates their productivity, allowing the company to categorize a specific group of customers and provide them with personalized products. This approach improves campaign performance by offering products that align with customer interests. Internally, the order monitoring process has become 37% more efficient, marketing campaigns have become 22% more effective, and the procurement process is currently growing by over 10%.
