The Problem

Hosting a major international winter sports festival comes with challenges: ensuring seamless event tracking, delivering real-time results, and keeping athletes, coaches, and fans informed. Traditional systems often struggle with speed, accessibility, and accuracy. EYOF Bakuriani 2025 needed a modern, interactive solution to provide live scoring, athlete analytics, and multilingual accessibility—all in one place.

To address these challenges, we developed a real-time live resulting and streaming system. The platform provided real-time scoring, automated ranking updates, and in-depth performance analytics. Designed for speed and accuracy, it ensured seamless data integration across multiple venues. Multilingual accessibility and mobile compatibility made it a powerful tool for both event organizers and audiences worldwide.

Frontend

To deliver a seamless and responsive user experience, we built the frontend using React.js, a powerful JavaScript framework known for its performance and flexibility. Socket.io was integrated to enable real-time updates, ensuring that scores, rankings, and event schedules were instantly refreshed without manual reloading. The interface was designed with an intuitive layout, optimizing accessibility for athletes, coaches, and spectators across various devices.

Backend

The backend was powered by Node.js with the Express.js framework, ensuring a fast and scalable server-side architecture. We utilized MongoDB as the database to efficiently store and manage event data. To handle real-time processing and ensure smooth data flow, BullMQ was implemented as a message queue system, optimizing event synchronization and background task management. This robust infrastructure allowed for high-speed data updates, ensuring an uninterrupted experience for all users.
